Continuing
Education for Psychologists at ICISF-Sponsored Conferences
The International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Inc. (ICISF) is approved
by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for
psychologists. ICISF maintains responsibility for the program. CE credit for
psychologists is granted on a one credit per one contact hour basis (refer
to course descriptions for Contact Hours & CE Credits). If applying for
CE Credits for Psychologists, please request a CE Credit Application upon arrival
at the conference. Psychologists are required to verify attendance as instructed
at the conference and to complete an evaluation form for each course attended.
Please note that full attendance is required in order to receive documentation
of CE Credits. CE Credit Application Packets are to be mailed to ICISF post-conference
along with the application fee of $18.00. Complete instructions will be provided
upon request at the Conference.
Continuing
Education for Employee Assistance Professionals at ICISF-Sponsored
Conferences
Professional Development Hours (PDHs) are available for Employee Assistance
Professionals for most courses offered at ICISF-sponsored conferences. The
number of approved PDHs depends on the course selected, and is equal to the
number of contact (instructional) hours for that course. Upon arrival at the
conference, please request a Training Attendance Record form and instructions
at the conference registration desk; EACC Approval Numbers, content areas and
approved number of PDHs for each course will be included in this material.
According to the EACC/Certification Department, the CEAP/candidate retains
the Training Attendance Record (white copy) for later use in his/her re-certification/application
process. For more information about this process, contact EACC/Certification
Department via phone at (703) 522-6272, email at eapcertman@aol.com or visit
their web site at www.eap-association.com.
Continuing Education
for California Resident MFTs & LCSWs
Most courses offered at ICISF-sponsored conferences meet the qualifications
for 7, 13 or 14 hours (depending on the course attended) of continuing education
credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral
Sciences (CA BBS). Provider Approval No. PCE 2033. California resident MFTs
and LCSWs must request an MFT/LCSW CE Hour Application and instructions at
the conference registration desk upon arrival at the conference, or from the
ICISF office post-conference. Completed application packets are to be mailed
to ICISF post-conference along with the application fee of $15.00. Non-California
MFTs and LCSWs: it is possible that your state licensing board will recognize
CE Hours from the CA BBS; please check with your licensing board to determine
this.
Continuing Education
for Nurses
Contact Hours in Nursing are provided by the University of Maryland School
of Nursing. The University of Maryland School of Nursing is accredited as a
provider of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing
Center's Commission on Accreditation. Neither the University of Maryland School
of Nursing nor the American Nurses Credentialing Center endorses or approves
any products that may be associated with any continuing education activities.
Attendees at ICISF-sponsored conferences may request Contact Hours in Nursing
by completing the Contact Hours in Nursing form available from the conference
registration desk or from the ICISF office post-conference. This material
will include instructions and the fee amount (currently $25, payable to the
University of Maryland School of Nurses). Nurses are required to verify attendance
as instructed at the conference. Forms and accompanying materials must be
submitted to the University of Maryland School of Nursing within 30 days
post-conference. Contact Hours in Nursing are calculated using a 50-minute
hour formula. A 14-hour course would qualify for 16.8 Contact Hours in Nursing.
