Joining the Trauma Support Network

Trauma Support Network seeks caring, committed, compassionate professionals and non-professionals to complete training and work on traumatic grief support teams.  These teams will respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week assisting individuals affected by a traumatic event in the Kansas City area.

The TSN application process for team members involves completion of a multi-page personal/professional information-gathering document, including medical information and references.  A TSN training course is required and is offered at no cost several times a year.  In addition, TSN team members are required to have basic certification in Critical Incident Stress Management from the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, NOVA or the American Red Cross Disaster Mental Health training.

Volunteer opportunities are also available in supportive roles that do not require team membership.
